Sometimes I like picking on the biggest baddest guy on the block. With media, that's CNN. Spare me the Faux News garbage, MSNBC is fine, but they're not the Ted Turner bunch....
CNN is the A #1 Cable news outlet in the world, which is why it tickles me when they can't do simple things right - like use the english language correctly

I'm no grammar nazi, especially on forums like this, but when CNN - the bastion of cable news - can't do simple things like correctly edit their online stories it gives me giggles...
Let's start with this gem
It's an image CNN stole from TPM Muckraker's website (note the watermark in the top right corner).
This piece of stolen journalism was a mug shot - i.e. it was readily available for free. Not that cost should matter to an outfit like CNN
Now - let's flash forward a couple weeks....
I couldn't believe this when I first saw it. "Teh" pops up in a simple spellcheck. Most programs will automatically correct uses of "teh" to "The" but right there on CNN's front page is a TEH! Which just tells me that nobody edited that stuff before they published it to the world.
Now - yesterday - and this is really embarassing -
Apparently Lieberman trials in the polls. Maybe he has a jury trial in the polls. Or maybe he trials and tribulations in the polls.
This one is more tricky for CNN because TRIALS is an actual word, and it doesn't get caught in spellcheck.
IT.REQUIRES.ACTUAL.EDITING
But I can understand how they missed it. After all, it's only in their fucking headline!
oh - except they did it again
It really is comical.
Lieberman TRIALS in the polls!
