Just a thought, but a thought that may give some of the religious some comfort. God sacrificed his only son for the benefit of humanity. This was not a whim, this was not a PR move on God's part. Jesus died so that we may live.

What is so wrong with using
that logic in this stem cell debate? Although I don't believe that a human life begins at conception, for those that do believe that human life begins at that time, in lieu of the blastocysts being discarded as medical waste, what is the difficulty in allowing those already condemned blastocysts become a beacon of life and hope for the rest of us that
noone questions is human life?
God gave us a great deal of intelligence to figure things out. We have used that gift for many good things, many bad things, and many things in between. Should we not be using that gift to help as many people as possible? Was that not one of the key messages Jesus gave us?
