Associated Press are reporting that a UN compound has been bombed in South Lebanon today. There are casualties, but it is unknown at this time. A UN spokesman said rescue teams are at the scene but they can't clear the rubble. It doesn't help that Isreal has continued to fire upon the area around the compound while they are trying to conduct the rescue.
This is "Breaking News" at NBC and ABC. Perhaps there will be more soon.
I find it rather ironic that this would happen after Isreal calling for NATO to send in peacekeepers. It's not as if actions like this will help their cause.
Update III: The Canadian Broadcast Corporation is reporting that the 4 killer were from Canada, Finland, France and China. Thanks to Thursday for finding this.
UPDATE II: CNN is reporting that 4 UN Observers are confirmed dead.
UPDATE: ABC now has a story up.
