Enfield (AP): Speaking today before a crowd of twenty supporters, Joe Lieberman announced that he plans to retain his office in January 2007 regardless of the outcome of the general election in November.
"If not nominated, I will run" stated the three term Senator, "If not elected I will serve. Our great Democracy is about making decisions. In November, the people of Connecticut will make their decision. It may not be the same as my decision. But I have always believed in doing what I felt was the right thing. And I feel that the right thing is that my chair in the Senate become a lifetime appointment".

Dear, dear, dear Joe. Oh Joe, Joe Lieberman. I'm so sad."
In Washinton the White House issued a statement saying that "All good Kings need their Princes. We look forward to working with Prince Joe over the next ten or twenty years to administer more of the medicine that he and the crown agree America needs.
