Media Matters caught this from GOP operative and Radio Personality
Michael Graham on serial bloviator
Tucker Carlson's MSNBC indulgencefest.
During a discussion with host Tucker Carlson and MSNBC contributor Flavia Colgan on the August 21 edition of MSNBC's Tucker, Boston radio host Michael Graham asserted that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) "is not going to be elected president in 2008 under any circumstances, period," because "the first woman elected president of the United States is not going to be a b -- a witch, and that's just the way it is."
Following up on the heels of Senator George Allen's racist remarks (and his campaign flack's subsequent attempt to walk it back) it seems clear that the Republican Party is staking out its claim.
It wants all the racists and sexists to vote for the Nellyphant.
Let me be clear. The problem isn't that they criticize Senator Clinton as a presidential candidate. On the same subject Tucker's other guest, Flavia Colgan did the same, saying she didn't think Hillary could win.
The sexism is in the use of "bitch" and "witch" to disqualify her. It must be challenged, not for Senator Clinton's benefit-like any other strong minded woman, I'm sure she's heard this trash before.
No, it must be struck down because it once again marginalizes a Democratic leader.
This is the angry side of Patrick Healy's romp through the Clinton lingerie drawer. Whether you are for another Clinton presidency or not(and I'm decidedly not), it is absolutely imperative that we do not allow GOP and TradMedia mouthpieces to trash our prominent Democrats.
