A friend of mine sent me this amazing photo of a bottle of water.
You can find it here:

If you look closely on the bottle you will see that it has a mailing label addressed to President George Bush.
Paul, at his site, Brainshrub

states, "In order to remind the White House of its dismal failure during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, activists are asking patriotic Americans to send a single bottle of drinking water to: President George Bush at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20500."
Other activists are sending empty bottles of water. And my favorite, to date, is the activist who is sending empty bottles of "Smart" water to the President.
The question is, "which will you send?" Will you send a full bottle and hope that it is forwarded to the return address of the convention center in New Orleans? Or will you send an empty bottle so that it is documented that the President received an empty bottle of water in remembrance of Katrina?
And, will you tell anybody that you sent a water bottle to the President? And, if they ask you why, what will you say?
This is direct action. This is sending a message to the administration that we are not happy with their response to Katrina and Rita. This is easy. This is inexpensive.
This is petitioning the government with our grievances. This is taking a stand. This is activism. This is doing something!
