Yesterday, Kos posted a
Lieberman ad here with the sunset...it was pathetic, laughable, and Kossacks had a field day with it, of course.
Then Lieberman's campaign claimed it was "clearly a sunrise"and not a sunset...though if you watch the ad the sun starts above the horizon, and half way through the ad it's shown half-submerged (in the Atlantic Ocean, no less, we're supposed to believe).
more on the flip
Anyway, I was baffled by such a stupid(again) remark by the Lieberman campaign that I felt the need to write the Mark Pazniokas (the guy who wrote the above-linked story) this morning, and this is what I said:
Joe Lieberman in China?
Sunrise, Sunset...I watched Joe's ad again after reading your article. The sun starts just off the horizon, and, later in the ad, is shown in half-sihlouette against the horizon. If that's a sunrise, Joe's in China. He's definitely NOT in Connecitcut (maybe that's part of the reason why he lost the primary to Ned Lamont).
And, to his credit, Mark replied...and the good news is, there will be a followup article tomorrow in the Hartford Courant...poor Joe...he's more fucked than John Mark Karr will be if he's sent back to Thailand.
Pazniokas, Mark

...swiftly flow the years.
i don't think the zapruder film has received this much scrutiny. in any event, the lieberman campaign acknowledges that it was stock footage of a sunset in california. we'll be doing a follow.
thanks for the note.

I have to admit...following Joe's meltdown has been a lot of fun...I can't wait to see what he does next.
