Levity's
excellent diary inspired me to spend oh, about 2 minutes searching for more on the story on Google. Well, I found a
local NBC poll in which 60% of the respondents approved of JetBlue's censorship action! I checked back a few hours later and while the forces of goodness and light are now winning, the margin is slim - 47% in favor of t-shirt censorship for the offense of wearing a t-shirt with the words, in Arabic and English, "we will not be silenced" on a flight and 53% against.
Ok - I know I risk getting about 30 replies telling me that I cannot post a new diary by essentially restating a comment made to an earlier diary.
But hear me out - only 214 people voted in an internet poll that makes it look like we in the internet community are about fifty-fifty when it comes to racism, censorship and the like - and that is on the poll for a tv station in the Bay Area. The DailyKos community, IMHO, needed a second chance to find out about this poll and vote.
So . . . thought I would repost my comment, give folks who missed a chance to link back to Levity's great diary, and let everyone know about the local NBC poll.
