I commented the following (w/ slight edit) in
Rep. Slaughter's Diary "Calling on Scholastic and ABC to Keep PT911 Out of Schools"
As someone posted below, it's the affiliates that hold the license, not the network. I'm sure the network is breaking some law or other, and I'm hoping a Kossack, or a Representative, might know which ones. But for the immediate issue
ABC's affiliate contact map
I'm posting this and telling ABC where I live they are about to find the most severe challenge to their licensing any station has ever experienced since broadcasting began. Are you with me? Then call. Ask for their legal department. Then e-mail, contact your Congresscritters, and contact the FCC, as a body and as individuals.
Follow through. Do it today. Do it again tomorrow. I've already called ABC in NYC, and given them a piece of my mind, including that I don't like ghouls trading on my dead for partisan political purposes, and I will do everything I can to see they lose their license. Fortunately, I had mentally rehearsed what I was going to say, but if you are as hot under the collar as I am about this, I suggest having your points handy on an index card.
In fact, I think this might be the time that we start seriously thinking long-term about breaking up the Media monopoly on content, smashing the Cartels into thousands of locally owned stations, and restoring the Fairness Doctrine. But for the immediate, we've got to put an end to this specific propaganda piece.
