Is it me, or does it seem like the wingnuts have these things planned down to the last nanosecond? It's no coincidence that PT911 is airing w/o commercial interruptions. Makes it more difficult to target advertisers to take our message to in time. Then there's Tom Kean being interviewed last night on WPVI, Channel 6 Action News in Philadelphia saying essentially that the movie closely depicts the real events based on the 9/11 commission report while in the next breath remarking that no [Democratic] politicians have the right to force a movie off the air since that would interfere with free speech and artistic freedom. So, which is it? If it's factual, then the facts should be correct. If it's a made-up movie, then say so.
The plot of the movie purportedly leaves the viewer with the notion that Clinton is to blame for the attacks because he was distracted by Monica Lewinsky during the pre-9/11 years. Well, what the hell was Bush doing the month before the 9/11 attacks? As I recall, he was bushwacking down in Texas with Barney and the gophers in the face of ominous warnings about aircraft being flown into major buildings. Where was he when prominent meteorologists and others were begging the administration to take action before Katrina made landfall? He was off bushwacking somewhere. The bottom line regarding the 9/11 attacks is: Who was at the helm when they occurred?
Then, hearing that Bush will interject his speech in the middle of the movie on Monday night. Seems like free air time to continue his campaigning. Seriously, where are the documentaries about the abyssmal lack of leadership of Bush and his crew before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina?
