Mr. President,
Is Condi starting to lose it? Her curt comment last week to the new European Union President is another example of her plight.
She met with 25 foreign ministers of the EU last week when she got involved in a tense exchange of words with Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja, the present EU president.
The topic should not have been a surprise, but diplomats are so 'diplomatic' that the issue of rendition flights involving the EU was not on the official agenda so all discussion was politely tabled. But Rice just had to push the group, saying all countries must keep up the fight against terrorism. I guess this was just too much hypocrisy for the Finnish diplomat to take so he replied: "We all agree on the need to fight terrorism but we should do so in a way that does not create more terrorism in the future."
Rice shot back: "Let's deal with those who are trying to kill us now and leave the future for some other time."
Unwilling to leave her the last word as the meeting broke up, Tuomioja added: "The future is with us today."

Even diplomats from Finland are losing their patience with your never-ending bullshit. But, why did Rice lose her cool like that?
There are so many possible reasons for Condi to loose her cool, I don't know where to start.
Perhaps the answer lies within your more recent administration failures, embarrassments, and outright screw-ups.
Maybe it was because :
Canada recently ruled that you illegally abducted an innocent Canadian and had him tortured for 10 months in Syria?
Or maybe it is you finally admitted the United States had been sending many suspects to secret prisons around the world, which makes all prior U.S. denials of the program's existence, one more example of U.S falsehoods you gave to the world.
Or maybe it was the very-revealing military and moral support for Israel's attack on Lebanese civilians and infrastructure, which solidified America's "real" position in Mid East as anti-Arab. Thus making all of your talk about supporting fragile Lebanese democracy a farce.
Perhaps it was the torture debate by the Congress and the consequential rewriting of the Geneva Convention by the Republican leadership which tries to apply a slight veneer of makeup to hide the country's black eye. But instead makes the U.S. look inhuman, blood thirsty, and cruel with it's version of 'torture light.'
Maybe it was the recent NIE report pulled together from all 16 American spy agencies which stated that the Iraq occupation has made us more unsafe. How can this be? This is completely contrary to what you have been peddling. You even bragged that Republicans can keep us safer.

Or maybe it is Pakistan. Pakistan has become very troublesome. They just signed a treaty with the Tailiban, and the rumor is that they gave Bin Laden a pass if he lives a 'peaceful life.' to which you threatened Pakistan that you would enter their country in order to track terrorists down.

We all remember your boast that you would bring him in 'dead or alive.' But, nearly five years after your vow to Americans, you disbanded the unit called 'Alec Station' which was created to track Bin Laden down.
So, all the recent threats of U.S. military action inside Pakistan to counter al-Qaida militants is just to help to resurrect your 'tough macho-man' image, without the flight suit. By the way Pakistan's government vowed to not let foreign forces enter its territory, a day after your John Wayne impression.
Maybe Musharraf's book deal prompted him to spill the beans and tell us that you threatened Pakistan that unless they joined your "coalition of the willing," you would bomb them into submission. Musharraf also leaked the fact that you had to pay Pakistan $ millions to turn over Taliban prisoners to our CIA.

Pakistan is a real bitch of a problem; unbeknown to many people, Pakistan has the capacity to build nuclear weapons. So you need him in power but not make him a target for a coup by the extremists living in his country.
Musharraf is on shaky ground because you forced him to support you for and that bit of news will make his government even shakier because the Pakistanis already hated us.
Although relations between Pakistan and India have become almost as testy as those with the U.S. You pushed through the sale of 36 F-16C/D Block 50/52 Falcon fighters to make amends for selling India once-prohibited nuclear technology and not to Pakistan. Congress was pissed off at the short notice you gave them to approve the sale, but you had to act quickly to hold off the erosion of the 'shot-gun' alliance.

There are other issues such as Russia's retaliatory actions for not being admitted into the WTO, China's growing military, Somalia's Islamists, Darfur's genocide, and the increasing number of troops needed in Iraq. These are just a few of the issues which should get her hooked on ambien.
Although any of these issues could make anyone really frustrated with your policies and quite cranky. I am guessing your decision to rush the deployment of a major "strike group" of ships, including the nuclear aircraft carrier Eisenhower as well as a cruiser, destroyer, frigate, submarine escort, and supply ship, to the Persian Gulf, just off Iran's western coast, probably takes the cake.

Silly Rice, she thought she could make some headway with Iran. But you and Cheney cut her legs out from under her and sent in the heavy artillery to offer them a deal they can't refuse.
This has the feel of Japan's surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7 1941. They too had diplomats in the country they were going to attack at the same time the Hawaiian Island was being bombed, except that this will not be a surprise to Iran.
Whether the news from the NIE, National Intelligence Estimate, resonates loudly enough with enough Americans to drown out your administration's ongoing lies is yet to be seen.
But, If just the portion of the report, which states that the Iraq occupation has compromised the safety of our country, could be enough to finally allow Americans to see through the fog of administration lies; well all I can say is hallelujah! It has been a long time coming.
It may be too late however and I may finally have to unearth my cache of weapons, pick up my bulldogs, go to my secure encampment with three years of supplies and hunker down until you leave office, because I have faith in your ability to make any and all situations worse.
With all of these balls in the air, I will bet many of them will hit the ground. I only hope they don't produce those mushroom clouds you exaggerated about once upon a time when we were relatively safe, and we lost only 3000 people to our enemies.
