If you believe in the power of factual information, it will tell you that under the guide of the Republican Party, the country is taking a turn for the worse. Whether you're a disgruntled Democrat, bleeding heart liberal, or disappointed Republican, there is no way in the world that we should trust our vote and the country's well-being to the Republican party. The evidence is clear as day. From Katrina to Iraq to the faux war on terror, the Republican plan is a colassal failure.
The GOP knows the power of factual information and that's why towards the end they won't run on their pathetic record, but on a 'boogeyman' platform. They're even so desperate that they'll even continue with their tiresome inquisition of Former President Bill Clinton.
My only regret about Clinton's verbal smackdown of Chris Wallace is that Sean Hannity wasn't in the chair. It would've made my day to see one of the most intelligent Presidents leave the despicable Bush apologist in a puddle of his own lies.
Now, I sort of disagree with Olbermann's notion of Wallace being a 'monkey' but as a cynic, how can you not accept in Clinton's belief that the Wallace interview was a calculated Conservative hit job?
Throughout Clinton's Presidency, the Right-Wing has tried everything to destroy Bill Clinton's career. From Whitewater to Vince Foster to Monica Lewinsky, Bill Clinton has escaped the Right-Wing guillotine.
People laughed when Hillary Clinton said that her husband was a victim of a vast Right-Wing conspiracy.
Well, consider this.
The Rev. Jerry Falwell, a religious Conservative whore unleashed a straight to video documentary called "the Clinton Chronicles: An investigation into the alleged criminal activites of Bill Clinton." On the back of the tape box the plot reads as this:
For the first time on video, a documentary that puts together the whole story! -- The names and faces of the key players who Clinton used to build his Circle of Power... as well as those who got in his way and lost their jobs, reputations, virtue, and lives! From Whitewater to ADFA... From millions in drug smuggling in Mena, Arkansas, to money laundering with the BCCI... From Gennifer Flowers to Paula Jones... From Vince Foster's "suicide" to the gangland slaying of private investigator Jerry Parks.
THE CLINTON CHRONICLES uncovers the shocking truth the controlled media and Clintons don't want you to know!
The "documentary" featured footage of Falwell interviewing a silhouetted journalist who accused Clinton of conspiring the deaths of several reporters and personal confidants. The creditibility of this tape was destroyed when it was revealed that the "journalist" in the tape was actually the producer of the tape. Nevertheless, the tape sold well.
And people laughed when Hillary said her husband was a victim of a Right-Wing conspiracy.
Six years after he left office, the rabid dogs of the Right-Wing still hunt for the head of President Clinton and will go to all costs for a victory.
Even if it means using 9/11 as their weapon.
Using 9/11 to further this vendatta against President Clinton is deplorable.
The evidence is overwhelming.
Bill Clinton did all he could to kill Bin Laden and he failed, but he'll be the first to tell you that he failed.
George Bush, on the other hand, knew the threat but treated as if it was nothing. Yet, his followers and sycophants believe that if Bin Laden was killed on Clinton's watch, then 9/11 would not have happened.
How do we know that's possible? If Bin Laden was killed, couldn't someone in his group of thugs, pick up the ball and run with the plan?
Furthermore, I do recall Mr. Bush being President on Septemeber 11, 2001, not Bill Clinton. So, the tragedy happened on his watch. And, I do believe that President Bush owes the nation an apology for his inaction.
Fox News, the 24/7 reality show for angry white males, is the main source for this garbage.
President Clinton had every right to be purple in the face. He knows the hypocrisy that exists in the newsroom at Fox. Ask him the tough questions, but handle the Republicans with care.
And, he handled it like anyone should.
Crazed? yes. But, like Keith Olbermann said, we have to be crazed. Our freedoms are being stripped in the name of safety and we're being complacent. Indifferent, at worse.
We've been afraid to stand up to the bully in the room.
But President Clinton's showing on Fox News proved that we can stand up to this bully, and we can defeat it with ease.
Chris Wallace doesn't look like a bully, he was a symbol.
Clinton at that moment stood up to those who continue to smear his name and spoke the truth. Leaving Wallace blubbering for another subject to discuss.
Some say Clinton's anger was just a ploy to defend his legacy.
I disagree.
The rap on Democrats is they don't have any backbone, which is true.
Bill Clinton, however, proved those people wrong and delivered a statement to his enemies. "If you want to talk about terrorism, fine let's talk about it. And, I have the evidence to prove that the GOP's record is awful."
Mr. Clinton doesn't deserve a target on his back.
He might not be perfect, but he's not a Conservative hypocrite who will run only on Clinton's character, not record.
We can only hope that Clinton's interview on Fox will finally bring an end to this pathetic quest to destroy a man's reputation and focus on the real issues that our more important to this country.
To do that, it will mean that Right-Wing will automatically admit that their platforms are weak and they rely on character assassinations and propaganda.
And, when was the last time a Right-Winger admitted he or she was wrong?
