The news just keeps getting better for
Scott Kleeb. A great candidate in deeply Republican western Nebraska, Kleeb faces an uphill battle for the seat being vacated by Rep. Tom Osborne. But he is working hard, and he is an excellent choice for the people of the third district. More and more people in the district are beginning to
see that.
Scott Kleeb is a breath of fresh air. He's bright and articulate, and he'll listen to the people of the 3rd District," said Gene Koepke, a retired dean at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a member of the Nebraska Economic Forecasting Advisory Board.
Koepke, a longtime Republican, is among a group of Republicans planning a Kleeb fundraiser in Kearney.
And, when they see the alternative, it will become clear why Scott Kleeb is the best choice in this race. Adrian Smith is a radical right-wing state Senator, who has taken over $400,000 in total contributions from the Club For Growth. Most of you are aware of the Club For Growth's extreme right wing positions. The one that particularly upsets 3rd District Republicans, though, is the Club For Growth's opposition to farm subsidies. It wants to dissolve the USDA. In a district whose number one industry is agriculture, that is a horrible position to take. And it's certainly not want the voters of that district want.
All of that is mentioned in a glowing profile of Kleeb from the Omaha World-Herald. Republicans are starting to get behind Kleeb's campaign, because he is the reasonable choice, the man with ideas. He is the independent representative Nebraskans need. He is exactly the type of representative the people of the 3rd District should send to succeed Tom Osborne.
No one could have imagined this district being in play this time around. Osborne won it with 90% of the vote. Then again, he was Tom Osborne. But Scott Kleeb is an extraordinary candidate, and he will win in November because he is the best man for the job.
