I am really pissed off so I will try to articulate what I am feeling.
I really am starting to think more then a few dems have been willing to sell out their own core values in hopes that it will help them beat Bush. Kerry and the democratic party is not going to pick up the hard core Bush voters that believe that Islam is a evil devils religion and that the war on Iraq is a great thing. Yet, he continues to try to please both those that oppose the war in Iraq and those in favor of it. You can't make everyone happy, and the vast majority of times I have seen someone try they usually only manage to piss off both/all sides of an issue.
At the same time Kerry thinks that the best way to beat Bush is to stand hand in hand with him on his moronic stances like standing with Sharon in his latest folly.
And, sadly I see a number of dems picking up the banner that they once proudly waved in 2001 and 2002 that we have to become Bush and stand with Bush to beat Bush.
We don't need to be like republicans to beat republicans. People are going to vote for the party that they feel gives them clear leadership. The GOP won in 2002 because the democratic party showed no clear leadership whatsoever. I want to beat Bush as much as anyone, but selling our collective soul to be like Bush is not only wrong, but in the end it will not win us the presidency. Bush very well might lose the presidency for himself because of his own stupid actions, but selling out our values to be Bush-light will not help us win.
