That's right folks the beleaguered, lowest-rated, most radical American President
in modern times is coming to California tomorrow. Why? Because he and his teetering
right wing cabal are afraid of this man.

Jerry McNerney is a real human being and a true progressive.

Jerry walks his talk of environmental protection and expansion of renewable energy sources. I know because I've met the man and we've talked about the crisis our country is in. Jerry came to meetings that East Bay for Democracy sponsored in 2004 & 2005. These gatherings of concerned citizens, who had each been working towards removing Bush, and the Republicans, from power. We met to discuss strategy and goals for taking back our country, from the radical right wing rapturists, who'd seized power in 2000. Every progressive group from MoveOn to Mainstreet Moms was represented by passionate, committed, and very determined activists. Jerry sat in on these discussions as an equal participant and a concerned fellow citizen trying to figure out how to save our country.

So Republican President George W. Bush is coming to California tomorrow to try and prop up the floundering campaign of the species-hating, Abramoff-funded, sleazebag Republican incumbent for California's 11th District, known as Richard Pombo.

So here's what you, Ms/Mr American Progressive need to do to let Bush and Pombo know what you think of their heinous political policies:

If you live in Northern California you should bring your body to these events:

October 3, 2006 - President Bush is coming to Stockton to help Tracy Rep. Richard Pombo raise money for his re-election bid. He is scheduled to appear at a breakfast event at the Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium, according to the campaign.*

October 5, 2006 - Jerry McNerney will "debate" Richard Pombo at 7 p.m. at Poet Christian School, 1701 S. Central Ave., in Tracy.

If you don't live in Northern California, or are unable to attend either of the above events in person, please donate $5.00 or more to McNerney or Brown so that they can replace these frauds who are posing as our representatives in Congress. Go to my brand-spanking-new ActBlue Fundraising Page and help California progressives win back our government!

*Note: Bush will also appear at a fundraising lunch for the equally despicable Representative John Doolittle,  who is being challenged by Democrat, and Vietnam Veteran, Charles D. Brown on October 3, 2006 at the Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

You can add a private note to this diary when hotlisting it:

Are you sure you want to remove your recommendation? You can only recommend a diary once, so you will not be able to re-recommend it afterwards.

Why couldn't Bush come in to campaign for Gropenfuhrer?  Maybe he'll decided to campaign for him anyway regardless of whether or not Arnold asks....well we can hope at least right?

because big daddy Dick was already here,

The Bush visit comes on the heels of a California trip by Vice President Dick Cheney, who was appearing at private receptions Friday for the Republican Governors Association in Los Angeles and for the Republican National Committee in Menlo Park.

Cheney was not meeting with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger during the visit, the governor's office said.

from the AP article linked above (see Trash Bin).

Anyone who thinks Schwarzenegger is "independent" of the White House has their head up their sorry ass.

I'm betting that one of Dick's main reasons for coming here to CA on Friday was specifically to give Schwarzenegger his instructions. Remember that Schwarzenegger's campaign mangager is Steve Schmidt who hails directly from Cheney's office

Schwarzenegger has re-invented himself as a “moderate,” and mainstream reporters (many of whom were always more interested in getting his autograph than asking tough questions) have been sold – hook, line and sinker. He brought in a Democratic lesbian from the Davis Administration as his new chief of staff. In a carefully timed media announcement, he let it be known that Maria never approved of calling last year’s special election. He has signed a minimum wage increase, and tomorrow is scheduled to sign landmark legislation that will make California a leader in the fight to stop global warming. All of this, ironically, while he has hired Matthew Dowd (George Bush’s campaign strategist) and Steve Schmidt (Dick Cheney’s lawyer) to run his re-election campaign. Source

  •  They are both whining about out of district money (7+ / 0-)

Both Pombo and Doolittle are whining about Charlie and Jerry raising money in the Bay Area..As if we don't have anything in common with those districts - like for instance if there is a disaster of ANY sort in any part of Northern California we have no National Guard troops available, we have obvious economic ties, tons of people that were priced out of the immediate bay area, moved to both of those districts and clearly care about the environment for all of California, etc. etc.
waaaaaaaaahhhhh - the only thing worse than a corrupt Republican is a whining corrupt Republican.

Puzzled by this; is McNerney debating an empty chair, or something?

      According to the SF Chronicle

Bush is scheduled to appear Tuesday at a breakfast fundraiser for Pombo in Stockton, where the cost to attend will range from $250 to $2,000, and at a $2,000-a-head fundraiser for Doolittle in El Dorado Hills in the Gold Country in the afternoon.

I can't seem to find anything more exact than that FFDAR sorry.

This week, Bush begins a Western fundraising trip:

      Monday in Reno;

      Tuesday in Stockton, El Dorado County and Bel-Air;

Wednesday in Scottsdale, Ariz., and Englewood, Colo.

Among the beneficiaries in California will be Reps. Richard W. Pombo (R-Tracy) and John T. Doolittle (R-Roseville). Each has had ties to convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff, and each was considered vulnerable earlier in the campaign. But both represent Republican-leaning districts, and their standings are believed to have improved. LA Times

When I check Charlie Brown's site I am not seeing a link for this or I would put it here. Please, if you are from the Brown campaign, see this, and it is not so, please chime in here! I did cross reference to Gen Clark's site.

      Charlie Brown Upcoming Events

Now, many of you are going...just where is...Loomis?  From Sac, continue north ("Reno" is north in Caltranese speak) towards Auburn. Before you get to Auburn, and after Rocklin, you will see  an exit for Loomis. Take that. Go west, go past the Raley's/Belair right into the heart of beautiful downtown Loomis, about a quarter mile. Turn right onto Taylor Rd.  Go up Taylor a bit to a big old restored fruit shed building on the left that says "Blue Goose."
Loomis has parking in the backs of the buildings on Taylor, next to the railroad tracks near the rail line.  There is lots of parking, do not fret. It just looks like there isn't, unless you've been there.

Traffic thru Roseville will be heavy at 5pm, expect slowness until clearing the Douglas blvd. area and the 65/80 exchange area.

Golden State in the first place, would make for lively conversation and analysis. Both are corrupt right-wing fascists to the core, and given all of the evidence now out about them, Abramoff, et al, if the voters in their respective districts again vote for these bastards, they deserve to be labeled traitors to this nation as well, and treated accordingly.

I realize the word "traitor" is being thrown around a lot lately, but let's get the shoe on the right foot, and keep it there. It's a Rovian offensive tactic to throw the word out, but we must smash them in the "political face" with it, and, make it stick.

Once the true facts are given, NO ONE in their right mind could deny that Pombo and Doolittle are corrupt, fascist traitors, as are those who continue to support them despite overwhelming, and undeniable evidence of their criminality. As Hunter suggested in a piece he wrote yesterday, perhaps we can use the "internment" legislation the Repuggies just passed on THEM! Let justice rein!!
