DawnG has been running the What are you reading this week? series. I didn't see one for a while, and asked her about it. She authorized me to take over the series, as she won't have time.
So....here we are
She usually did it on Friday evenings. That's a really bad time for me, I've listed some better times in the poll.
Join me below the fold for what I'm reading
I've just finished rereading "Surely you're joking Mr. Feynman" which is the 'adventures of a curious character' (Feynman). For those who don't know him, he won the Nobel prize in physics, was a great bongo-player, and is very funny.
I also just read Terry Pratchett's THUD. Another in the Discworld series, and one of his best (and that is saying a LOT). Warmly recommended
I am reading Doris Kearns Goodwins "Team of Rivals" about Lincoln and some of his rivals for the Republican nomination for President in 1860. It's wonderful. Well-written, insightful, with a good feel for the period and the characters.
I am also slowly reading Stuart Kaufman's At Home in the Universe: The serach for the laws of self-organization and complexity. Deep, profound, and difficult.
What are YOU reading?
