I am sure you know about this book, but this is the money quote, something that will ring true in the religious conservative's ears. The is the pull quote that should be sent around the country:
Every other White House office was up and running. The faith-based initiative still operated out of the nearly vacant transition offices.
Three days later, a Tuesday, Karl Rove summoned [Don] Willett [a former Bush aide from Texas who initially shepharded the program] to his office to announce that the entire faith-based initiative would be rolled out the following Monday. Willett asked just how -- without a director, staff, office, or plan -- the president could do that. Rove looked at him, took a deep breath, and said, "I don't know. Just get me a f--ing faith-based thing. Got it?" Willett was shown the door.
Not sure how they can possibly swift boat David Kuo, but it is coming, otherwise this administration will soon be shown the door.
Just get me a fucking reality-based thing, got it?
Okay, since I only get one diary, I thought I would add this. I was just talking about Krazy Kim of Korea with my friends from Bangladesh. And off the coff, where I do my best work, I said:
We should build him a film studio! It would be like getting Hitler into art school!
Seriously, he freaking loves films, let's spend about 50 million on a film studio, stock it with talent, and he would become so engrossed in his fantasy of being a film director, he will forget all about being a dictator! Trust me, if you could go back in time, wouldn't you accept Hitler into art school? So why don't we build Kim a film studio?
