This is not a long post, but, as I missed my local Wrong Way march (and I thought I kept up on
everything!), but was kindly reminded by a progressive friend who attended, and then received a lovely invite to view some photos, I thought I would share one with the Daily Kos readership.
At first, I thought, "Wrong Way March, what the hell is that?"
Then I took a look at some of the images that they posted. Crap, I missed that????
Wrong Way March = everything Bush

This photo says it all
Bush has taken the United States every way but the right way.
Jobs = losing them
Iraq = losing the (war?)
Schools = No Child Left Behind (need I say more?)
Health Care = More uninsured every day of Bush's reign presidency
Civil Liberties = NSA, Abu Grahb (don't think that can't happen here, remember Rodney King?), Deregulation of Energy, the list is endless under the current crew of assheads in DC.
The answer? DEMAND CHANGE
Loudly.
Repeatedly.
To every one of your elected representative in Congress and your own state congress.
Did I say repeatedly? and loudly?
DEMAND CHANGE
One of my favorite sayings is, "There are none so blind as (s)he who will not see."
Those are the people who elected, and re-elected Bush and Cheney. WE ARE THE PEOPLE who must not let the same thing happen again.
DEMAND CHANGE
We the People seem to have forgotten what We the People really means.
It doesn't mean We the People are entitled to this or that, most favored of (some or any) God (or godlike being), or just damn better than other people.
It means We the People have some damned heavy responsibilities, if we have any hope of retaining those freedoms bought at such a terrible cost by our founders, and fought for today by our fathers and mothers and sisters and brothers.
We the People have the duty and honor of protecting the Constitution by speaking out, when needed, by standing up, when required, and by fighting back against our own Government, if necessary. It is, after all, We the People who are the only ones who can do so.
If we fail to uphold that duty, then we have no one but ourselves to blame if the day comes when the Constitution fails.
