Ciro's gracious concession takes some of the sting out of having to move forward from the Texas primary to the next goal. I look forward to being able to back his play again in the future, some time, hopefully with more lead time and better end results.
That said, for the moment I've de-profiled TX-28 on my ActBlue page and rolled Francine Busby, CA-50 to the top. As I've written elsewhere I think April 11 is her one realistic shot; I fear if she doesn't take the race on the first go, her GOP opponents will coalesce around whichever of them beats the others, and the opportunity to flip this seat will vanish. Francine has raised more money than any of her opponents; but in the aggreggate, they've out-raised her 4:1. It's now or never. Do what you can at her own website or visit my page at http://www.actblue.com/...
Since Texas is on all our minds I moved the two remaining Texas races I was profiling higher on my page, too. ActBlue donors have yet to raise even a thousand dollars for Nick Lampson, who may now face a re-invigorated Tom DeLay in November. We have to do better than that. And I moved Chet Edwards closer to the top, too, after reading in another diary here somewhere that the results of yesterday's GOP primary affect his chance of keeping that important seat Blue. ActBlue donors have yet to collect even a hundred bucks for this endangered Democrat incumbent. We can do better.
