The LaurinLine:
A LaurinLine source has confirmed that the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has relinquished the ad time they'd reserved in the Charlotte market -- the biggest media market in the most heavily-Republican area of the SC-5th -- for the week before the election. (The NRCC had reserved the three weeks before the election but cancelled the first two weeks of that time span last week.)
The NRCC is also believed to have given up its ad time in the Columbia and Florence media markets, but as of right now that's unconfirmed.
State Rep. Ralph Norman, the challenger hand-picked by the White House, is challenging longtime incumbent Democrat, Congressman John Spratt.
