Does anybody here read the rumor mongering
Wonkette?
In a nutshell, the gyst of the blurb is that the Bush family has bought about 986,000 acres in Paraguay. This is next to a semi-secret US military airbase, and on top of one of the world's richest aquifers. There is certainly the appearance of a heckuva Presidential retirement villa in the making here. Any member of the White House Press Corps who has ever covered Crawford is well aware of the Preznitchul penchant for hot weather.
It goes on: the Reverend Sun Myong Moon is a neighbor, with 1.47 million acres.
Also:
The Paraguayan Senate voted last summer to "grant U.S. troops immunity from national and International Criminal Court (ICC) jurisdiction."
And also:
Immediately afterwards, 500 heavily armed U.S. troops arrived with various planes, choppers and land vehicles at Mariscal Estigarribia air base, which happens to be at the northern tip of Paraguay near the Bolivian/Brazilian border. More have reportedly arrived since then.
So go read the Wonkette article. Is this one wrong? Is there another (doubtlessly better) diary already done here? If so, I'll delete.
I heard something about Paul Wolfowitz having an Isreali passport. What about the Preznit?
