"District 31 voters should send a message to Carter about arrogance and insensitivity and elect Harrell." - Austin American Statesman, October 20, 2006
Carter is "a functionary for a failed administration." "...incompetent, knee-jerk representation in Congress" and "It's time to end that kind of arrogance." - Austin Chronicle, October 19, 2006.
But the endorsements/recommendations aren't for me!;0) Today we have had a great day at Mary Beth Harrell for Congress HQ. We were notified that the Austin Chronicle
(http://www.austinchronicle.com/...)
and the Austin-American Statesman
(http://www.statesman.com/...)
have endorsed Mary Beth's campaign.
Mary Beth was the only congressional challenger that was endorsed by the Austin-American Statesman and the only candidate in Williamson County, Texas that was endorsed by the Austin Chronicle.
Some of the reasons why Mary Beth has been blessed with this great boost to her campaign, aside from her perserverance and hard work, are readily apparent whenever her opponent speaks to his beliefs.
Carter has said that in Iraq, "We have a huge success." New York Times, November 17, 2005.

And if you think he has changed his position since last year, you would be wrong. When asked recently what have been our successes and blunders in Iraq , Carter stated: "I think our successes far outweigh our blunders." - News 8, October 18, 2006.

So if any of you folks know anybody that has any pull with the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee or the Texas Democratic Party, please hit them up for support. We have Carter on the ropes and now we need a tag team to go for the KO!
Of course, as always, any of you that read this are always welcome to visit Mary Beth's website at

and help us to bring it on home!
