Has anyone given any thought to what we energized Democrats need to do after the election to keep the pressure on? Down here in red Georgia, I am dreaming of a Democratic victory of epic size.
Yes, I know, we still have a long way to go, things could turn on a dime, etc. But what if we not only won, but won big. How much of an effect would that have on the Republican Senators that are not up for reelection this year?
My dream is to get up the day after election, after we have won big and send the following e-mail to my Senator, Saxby Chambless (R-GA)(you know, the guy who compared war hero Max Cleland to Osama in his ads), "Your Next" or "In 2008, your time is up".
Now I don't want anybody in law enforcement to think that I am a threat to anyone. We are just talking about the political process here. Does anyone have any other ideas about how we can get the fewer (hopfully) remaining Republican senators the message that being a Bushbot may not be such a great idea after all. God knows if it could keep Chambless from sending me Republican talking points in his correspondence it would be worth it.
