I think it is pretty clear now that Bush/Rove are attempting to turn a Kerry slip-up about foreign leaders supporting him into a full-fledged controversy. First w/ Colin Powell yesterday, then Scott McClellan at mid-day today, and Dick Cheney and Sen. Norm Coleman in the afternoon. Bad move by Kerry, but one must credit the Bush machine for pushing this in the media throughout the day. The question is whether this reaches into non-politicos or whether this is predominantly a WashPost/NyTimes/CableNews "inside the beltway" story. Any thoughts as to how big this story may get or whether it will impact Kerry at all?
