Today's Puzzle is called:
Things That Are Associated With Senator George Allen
Let's have some fun at George Allen's expense, shall we?
This is what the puzzle looks like:
Looks pretty weird and complex, huh?
It's not.
The RULES are simple:
You must fill in all the empty squares such that each horizontal row, and each vertical column, and each 3 x 3 Block contains all of the NINE symbols, or icons, that are easily associated with one Mister George Felix Allen Jr., the soon-to-be-retired Republican Senator from Virginia.
Many of you have probably seen some variation on this type of puzzle before, using numerals. This one has pictograms. But be assured that this puzzle is absolutely solvable, and indeed easier than it might first appear.
Unless you want to draw on your computer screen, you'll want to print out the puzzle. Then just fill it in.
Here are the NINE ICONS:
The elephantine symbol of those who are about to lose control of the United States Congress....
The monkey icon can represent either the infamous macaca incident, or the Chimperor. Take your pick.
These are two symbols that George Allen himself chose as personal trademarks,
as they were both proudly displayed in and around his office while Governor of Virginia.
= Day-wear
Night-wear =
When I think dead stumpy deer-heads stuffed in mail-boxes, I think George Allen.
It ain't kosher to mention George Allen's heritage because it tarnishes his image with rednecked bigots. Yeah, you can consume pork a-plenty, but you cannot change your history.
And, of course, there's George Allen's homeys, the neo-klansmen.
Now, some of you might be saying "But Dave the Rave, for the love of all that's Holy, I couldn't draw a friggin' dead stumpy deer-head if my life depended on it, no less a frackin' pork-chop !"
O ye of little faith, but I know that you can.
Simplify them thusly if you like:
The confederate flag could be a box with an X thru it.... for the photo of George Allen with his neo-klansmen BFF's just jot down "CCC".... the dead stumpy deer-head could be... um, well, you're on your own with the dead stumpy deer-head. But know that I have confidence in your burgeoning artistry when it comes to capturing the essence of a deer-head's dead stumpiness.
Finally, just to get you off on the right foot, here are A FEW CLUES:
1. George Dubya Bush, also known as Chimpy McCokespoon, is the unfortunate axis `round which all Republican electoral wishes revolve. Therefore put him smack in the middle of the inner-most box.
2. The upper-most spot on the left side of the puzzle is a mailbox. Put the appropriate icon there (hint: it begins with dead stumpy and ends with deer-head).
3. How many of each animal did Moses bring on the Ark? The answer to this question will tell you how many boxes should remain empty when your puzzle is completed.
4. Who within the above pictograms is associated with Question #3 ? If you know, then you will see that in the above puzzle, he is shown five times. In only one of these instances, however, can this pictogram be seen with four adjacent empty boxes to its left and right, and on top and bottom. At this junction, you can place George Allen's day-wear immediately above said pictogram, and George Allen's night-wear immediately below.
Happy Sunday, Kostopia.
