In tribute to Halloween and the upcoming midterm elections, I think it would a list is an order of the most extreme, most hair-raising, most horrifying out of touch politicians we have that are in control of the rules in regulations of this country. Trust me, 12 out of the 13 would make great Halloween costumes. This list is in no particular order.
President George W. Bush: An easy choice considering the fact that this man lacks the curiosity and intelligence to be the leader of the free world. Hell, he couldn't tell the difference between a Sunni and a Shitte. But, he sure knew where to get the oil. In 6 years under his administration, New York lost the twin towers, New Orleans washed away, started a war with Iraq based on lies, enabled the Christian Right to establish a semi-theocratic regime, and of course, the elimination of Habeas Corpus. Well done your royal majesty. Well done!
Favorite Quote: "The truth of that matter is, if you listen carefully, Saddam would still be in power if he were the president of the United States, and the world would be a lot better off." --George W. Bush, second presidential debate, St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 8, 2004
Vice President Dick Cheney: The only reason why George Bush should not be impeached. Could you imagine if something would happen to Bush, how worse off the country would be if this goof was in charge? Never mind the fact that he "hearts" waterboarding, and still believes that things are going well in Iraq, it's the fact that this year a report about Halliburton poisoning the drinking water in Iraq, causing some American soldiers to get sick. If that's how much he cares about our soldiers, then what makes you think he's the answer to our prayers once the chimp in charge is kicked out?
Favorite Quote: "We will, in fact, be greeted as liberators." Dick Cheney
Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum: The countdown is 8 days before his inevitable defeat at the hands of the anti-Rick Santorum, Bob Casey. Yet, before we say goodbye to Ricky, we must include him for being quite possibly the most out of touch, extreme politician in America. In his book "It takes a Family" Santorum blames "radical feminism" for encouraging women to work outside the home and questions whether a college education can help the poor. He even goes so far as to equate Abortion with Slavery, saying, ""But unlike abortion today, in most States even the slaveholder did not have the unlimited right to kill his slave." Okay...But, his greatest hit was the relevation that he found weapons of mass destruction, however, what he found were chemical munitions dating back to the Iran-Iraq war that were buried in the early 1990's. Uh-oh, somebody made a mistake. And, of course how can forget his one man war against homosexuality. Like O'Reilly who's paranoid about liberals, Santorum is paranoid about Gays. Someone give him a hug.
Favorite Quote: "Isn't that the ultimate homeland security, standing up and defending marriage?" Rick Santorum.
Kansas Senator Sam Brownback: If there's one person who can truly qualify as the lobbyist for unborn fetuses it would be this goof from Kansas. If the Christian Right continues to have their way, this man would be the GOP's nominee for President in 2008. Brownback believes America is entering a period of religious revival on the scale of great awakening that preceded the nation's creation, an epidemic of mass conversions, signs and wonders, and book burnings. Introduced the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act in the wake of Janet Jackson's bare nipple performance, which raises fines up to 325,000 for networks who air indecent programming. Proposed the elimination of the Departments of Education, Energy and Commerce, and when it comes to Abortion likens himself to John Brown, the abolitionist who massacred five pro-slavery settlers just north of the farm where Brownback grew up. Brown wanted to free the slaves, Brownback wants to free the fetuses.
Favorite Quote: "Unborn children do not have a voice, but they are young members of the human family. It is time to look at the unborn child, and recognize that it is really a young human, who can feel pain and should be treated with care." Sam Brownback
Colorado Rep. Marilyn Musgrave: When she said that Gay Marriage is "the most important issue we face today," I immediately would've thrown this number right at her. 40 million. That is 40 million Americans without health care, plus the Iraq war, and the national debt, and the elimination of Habeas Corpus. But, you know, you need those nuts in Congress to balance out the smart ones once in awhile. For her staunch opposition to Gay Marriage and her push to legalize concealed weapons, Ms. Musgrave receieved a gift that only we wish to have. A sparkling endorsement from the KKK.
Favorite Quote: "The problems in our culture are just symptoms of spiritual problems in our nation. We must return to God and Biblical principles for answers." Marilyn Musgrave.
Indiana Representative John Hostettler: Like Santorum, this piece of Human waste is one week away from inevitable defeat, yet, it makes me wonder how in the world he was allowed to be in the sacred halls of Congress. The man who wraps himself in Christ, voted against the aid package for Katrina victims, and was one of 3 to oppose the Violence against women act. He proposed the abolishment of the Dept of Education, as well as the Direct Loans program, which he took advantage of when it was discovered that he took out Government-Subsidized loans to pay for his engineering degree. And, how can we forget his reference to his office as the "ministry."
Favorite Quote: "Mr. Chairman, the long war on Christianity in America continues today on the floor of the House of Representatives. It continues unabated with aid and comfort to those who would eradicate any vestige of our Christian heritage being supplied by the usual suspects -- the Democrats. [...] Like a moth to a flame, Democrats can't help themselves when it comes to denigrating and demonizing Christians." [House floor, 20-Jun-2005]
Virginia Senator George Allen: Oh, boy, where do I start. The man who made "Macaca" famous is, sure loves his little sister to death. Really, I mean who wouldn't show how much you love someone by holding your baby sister by her feet over Niagara Falls and beating her boyfriend with a pool cue. And, of course throwing your brother Bruce through a glass sliding door. Not for nothing, next to Nixon, he might be the most racist politician, in the post Civil War era. Okay, maybe I should through in Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms too. But, Senator Allen has a hard-on for the confederate flag, loves putting deer heads in the mailboxes of black folks, sure loves the Council of Conservative Citizens, a white supremacist groups, and loves the "N" word. Jesus, what hasn't he done? That's right, nothing to make me say he's a good politician.
Favorite Quote: "The thing that's good about Tony Snow is that being on talk radio, he has a pulse on what people in the real world think on issues such as immigration, on taxes, on spending, on energy prices, and a variety of issues and I think he bringing the pulse of people in the real world to the White House, understanding how people react to it and whether they are on Rush Limbaugh's show or Hugh Hewitt's show or Laura Ingraham's show or who knows who, the Sean Hannity's or any other radio show- the fact that he understands the language, the sentiments, the spirit of the American people who want to see action here in Washington..." George Allen.
Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo: Washington's favorite bigot want to erect an electrified fence to control Mexicans like animals. Like Allen, Rep. Tancredo receives a sparkling endorsement from the Council for Conservative Citizens. Which lauds Tancredo for protecting America from being invaded by people from Latin America. He has called for halting all immigration and the deportation of every undocumented worker, which would cost the nation 200 billion dollars. Tancredo has launched a one man war against "the siren song of multi-culturalism" and calls Islam a "civilization bent on destroying ours." Right...
Favorite Quote: I have to tell you that we are facing a situation, where if we don't control immigration, legal and illegal, we will eventually reach the point where it won't be what kind of a nation we are, balkanized or united, we will actually have to face the fact that we are no longer a nation at all.
Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman: The only way to describe how scary he is, just look at the kiss with Bush. It shows you how much Lieberman favors selling out the country in order to please the status quo. Not to mention his one man war against Mortal Kombat, and him turning against his own party for his own selfish interests. He has to go.
Favorite Quote: "I urge the Bush Administration to rethink its priorities. We can't talk about community values without being prepared to invest in those very same communities." Joe Lieberman
Wisconsin James Sensenbrenner: Congress' dictator proposed to turn 12 million undocumented immigrants into felons and also proposed a way that would sentence an adult to 10 years in prison for selling a joint to a teenager. Also, the head sponsor of the patriot Act which curtails civil liberties. Though, it's power is to stop terrorists, Sensenbrenner deems it neccessary to curtail any criminal activity. And, of course how can we forget his shameless incident in which he shut the lights and turned off the microphones of Democrats who wanted to discuss the treatment of detainees at Gitmo.
Favorite Quote: "While the people of New Orleans and other affected areas clearly need help, I am not convinced that this legislation will provide it," James Sensenbrenner.
Florida Representative Katherine Harris: I hated putting her on the list, because I find her rather hot. I would love to put some of that pink sugar in my coffee. Nevertheless, she has a tendency to make up shit. For instance, in a 2004 speech in Venice, Florida, Rep. Harris claimed that a "middle Eastern" man was arrested for attempting to blow up the power grid in Carmel, Indiana. Both the Carmel Mayor and Indiana Governor Joe Kernan said they had no knowledge of the plot and the mayor Carmel said he never spoken to Harris. And, like all other Conservative Republicans, loves to wrap herself in God. At the "reclaiming America for Christ" Conference, Rep. Harris urged the conferenece goers to "win back America for God." She also describes the separation of Church and state as a big lie and that God is the one who chooses our rulers. Yep. That's right, according to pink sugar, God is the king. Nevermind the fact that ms. holier than thou flaunting her ample bosom on a edition of Hannity and Colmes. Really. A soldier of God.
Favorite Quote: "But the real issue is why should Baptists care, why should people care? If you are not electing Christians, tried and true, under public scrutiny and pressure, if you're not electing Christians then in essence you are going to legislate sin. They can legislate sin. They can say that abortion is all right. They can vote to sustain gay marriage. And that will take western civilization, indeed other nations because people look to our country as one nation as under God and whenever we legislate sin and we say abortion is permissible and we say gay unions are permissible, then average citizens who are not Christians, because they don't know better, we are leading them astray and it's wrong." Katherine Harris.
Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe: This was sort of a toss up considering that his fellow Republican Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn is complete waste of skin, but, when you have someone who says that the United States should base its Israel policy on the bible, yep, even he can make Tom Coburn look sane. Calls Global Warming a big hoax and equates environmentalists with Nazis. Wrote the Inhofe amendment which requires that new citizens take an English proficiency test and would make English the official language in the United States. And, his explanation for why the terrorists occured on 9/11? A form of divine retribution for not doing enough to protect Israel.
Favorite Quote: "The homosexual marriage lobby, as well as the polygamist lobby, they share the same goal of essentially breaking down all state-regulated marriage requirements to just one, and that one is consent. In doing so, they're paving the way for illegal protection of such practices as homosexual marriage, unrestricted sexual conduct between adults and children, group marriage, incest, and, you know, if it feels good, do it." James Inhofe.
California Representative Nancy Pelosi: Okay, now why would I put Rep. Pelosi on this list? It seems that every pinhead Right-Winger from Bill O'Reilly to Dennis Miller are up in arms over a woman who hasn't even been given the job. They know good and well that Rep. Pelosi's task is to clean up the mess that the Republican Revolution left in its 12 years of rule. And, how can I forget the fact that middle-aged white males like O'Reilly and Miller aren't high on the idea of a brilliant, liberal woman from San Francisco in a position of power. All I can say is, Go get 'em Nancy!
Favorite Quote: "If you believe that these are consequential, transformative times, if you believe our borders need to be secure, if you believe that we need to cut taxes to keep the economy humming, if you think it's an absolute mistake and a disaster to pull out of Iraq too early, if you think we're gonna retreat in the war on terrorism, if you think we're gonna be less safe, less secure with a party that has a pre-9-11 mentality, then this is the time not to give up. This is the moment to say that there are things in life worth fighting and dying for and one of `em is making sure Nancy Pelosi doesn't become the speaker." Sean Hannity on Nancy Pelosi
