Since
ActBlue started, they have moved over $16 million in small donor contributions. Great, until you compare it to the money big oil is spending against Proposition 87 in California. Chevron has already contributed $34 million -- twice all of the money ever raised in ActBlue. Aera Energy (Exxon Mobil and Shell) has done $30 million. To-date, the $85 million big money is spending against one initiative is five times the total raised on ActBlue.
Chevron's third quarter profits were a record $5 billion and they spending twice as much as we have ever raised on Actblue -- against clean energy research that would benefit the entire country and world.
If you want clean air and clean water -- it is clear that you need clean elections.
The Sierra Club's Carl Pope understands the connection.
He liked our Bill Hillsman ad so much that he shot a promo video on how the ad was moving virally.
With the election a week away, get on the bus.
We need your help to level the playing field in California. Right now, money is shouting down reason. Proposition 89 is the reform that enables reform. So join us.
