I saw today that Kerry's new round of issue-based ads are being extended to Virginia. Besides the obvious conclusion -- Wow! His fundraising must be off the charts! -- there is another: I predicted a month ago that the most likely longshot to be his VP choice was the Virginia governor, Mark Warner. From my experience, the guy is a rock-star. Warm, engaging, charismatic, and able to push a tax increase through a Republican legislature, possibly the only Democratic governor in recorded history to accomplish that feat. Kerry's choice in running ads in VA -- as opposed to NC or KY or another southern border state -- seems to me to bolster my speculation.
Any VA residents out there want to comment?
