According to the
Star Tribune, a new St. Cloud poll shows both Amy Klobuchar and Mike Hatch with their largest leads of the season.
Unfortunately the article doesn't give percentages for the Senate race, and simply states that Klobuchar has a 25 point lead.
Mike Hatch, according to the poll, is currently leading Tim Pawlenty 46-36.
In response to this poll, the Republican mouthpieces had this to say:
A Kennedy spokeswoman Heidi Frederickson said, "We don't put any stock in those polls."
Both she and Pawlenty spokesman Brian McClung referred instead to an earlier Zogby Internet poll that showed Klobuchar and Hatch leading by much narrower margins.
That's right. Kennedy (who has a snowball's chance in h-e-double hockey sticks) and Pawlenty (who's losing momentum) are 1. only validating polls that show them close (3 points in Pawlenty's case and <20 in Kennedy's) and 2. Forced to rely on the politically skewed Zogby poll. I say skewed simply because the people who sign up for it tend to be more partisan and politically active than most normal voters.
My apologies for the short diary, but I'm running a little late in getting to work.
