It's been all too clear that President Bush has no earthly idea as how to crawl out of the mess he's created in Iraq. His special talent is creating snappy marketing slogans like "stay the course," in order to seduce the very simple-minded fools who lack any thought about how the political process really works.
The message is very clear from Conservatives.
You vote Democrat, the terrorists ride to victory.
Simple and effective.
It work in 2002, but, 4 years later, with Iraq burning and American casualities rising, even the simple-minded buffoon has started to snap out of his/her trance and come to realization that there is no plan, and simply no way out of Iraq.
Yet, with that in mind, it's up to Conservatives to flex their muscles.
The reality of the situation isn't to Conservatives' liking, and, of course, reality and Conservatives don't mix.
They've created this fairy tale of sorts that reads simply: People like Rosie O'Donnell, David Letterman, and Wolf Blitzer don't want us to win.
Or, how about aiming for the jugglar. Going after the character of a famous Television actor.
A famous television actor who's crippled.
And, how can I forget, the now famous John Kerry botched joke.
The instances are a perfect foil to steer the American people away from the real issues of this upcoming election.
If I were a Conservative, I wouldn't be running on my record, nor the Republican party's record. I'd be smearing people left and right, and making fun of not just the crippled, but the dead.
Smells like victory.
Nope.
Smells like desperation.
Conservatives say they have a plan for victory. But, here's the problem.
George Bush wants to keep Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld at his side, while Iraq continues to smolder.
And, the Republican party continues to sink further into desperation by trying to drive the American people away from reality.
Is that victory?
I don't think so.
The Right-Wing haven't got a clue as to how to fix the problems that they've created.
It's the same old talking points memo, "vote Democrat and the terrorists win."
No plan.
No way out.
Iraq was the biggest mistake ever made by this country. Our troops will continue to die, while this President stubbornly refuses to switch gears and keep the two men, who along with himself are resposnible for the tragic error in Iraq.
Now, let me ask all the Right-Wingers who sniffle at this President's crotch on a daily basis.
Is that victory?
No. To these eyes, it's a recipe for a monumental defeat.
