Hello, this is a letter for all people who are on the ground in Conneticut. What I want is an honest response; no rhetoric, no assumptions, just what you honestly believe. This is not meant to be negative, only as a way for me to get some basic idea of what is happening in Connecticut.
Now, we have heard lots of things, all over the place, and quite honestly I am beginning to get a little upset, mainly because I have no idea what to believe anymore. On one hand I see Lieberman way ahead in the polls. On the other hand I see Lamont supposedly having a superior ground game. Thus, these are the questions I ask of all people who have been on the ground in Connecticut.
First, how good is Joe's ground game. Yes, I know he is supposed to have nothing in comparison to Lamont's, but I know he has one, because for one is would be impossible to win without one, second I know that Bloomberg has sent him some people.
Second, how powerful is this ground game? Are they convincing many people? Will they be able to get a lot of people out to vote for Lieberman. I want to think they are not that effective, but I have no idea how to know, and it does seem that there is some effectiveness in them due to the stopping of Lamont from entering a Senior center.
Third, who are they actually convincing? Republicans? Democrats? Independents? What kinds of people are falling for their garbage
Fourth, how is Schlessinger's ground game? Are there any? Are they that effective?
Fifth, why IS Lamont seeming to make so little gain in the polls? As well, why are more Republicans not going to the Republican Schlessinger, even after seeing him at the debate? Are all these Republicans really THAT pragmatic and able to step across party lines simply for one single issue (Iraq).
Honestly, I want to have some basic idea what is happening, and so I have come to you to ask what is happening. Please, tell me.
