REMEMBER 2003 ??? BUSH-BREMER-CHENEY HAD A TOTAL PLAN FOR RE-DOING IRAQ.
'SHOCK AND AWE' ON THE RIGHT WING F-A-N-T-A-S-Y MODEL TOOK HOLD OF THE IRAQI ECONOMY....
Today the Neocon 'Ayn Rand' liar-politicians are setting up Rumsfeld to be the fall-guy. How convenient.
What happened to Iraq in 2003 was a rightie F-I-N-A-L F-A-N-T-A-S-Y version of political economy.
NeoCon Shock-and-Awe F-A-N-T-A-S-Y ECONOMICS
Radical privatization, minimal central government, no collective bargaining, open borders including NO INSPECTIONS, minimal taxes, no tariffs, no domestic ownership restrictions. That's exactly what Bremer-Bush-cheney did to Iraq.
None of this crap worked. It was F-A-N-T-A-S-Y, NOT LOGIC OR EXPERIENCE.
True, Rummie is an ignorant-arrogant lout when it comes to ground warfare and counterinsurgency.
tRUE, Rummie lies. Says he's spent $3.6-billion and replaced the humvee-jeeps. We checked last month and our guys are still driving 5,000 soft-bottom jeeps in Iraq....
But, but, but... the BIG failure was...
BREMER'S F-I-N-A-L F-A-N-T-A-S-Y POLITICAL ECONOMY.

"...George Bush's Republicans are, in their own minds, perennially sabotaged by meddling Democrats, intractable unions, and alarmist environmentalists.
"Iraq was going to change all that. In one place on Earth, the theory would finally be put into practice in its most perfect and uncompromised form. A country of 25 million would not be rebuilt as it was before the war; it would be erased, disappeared. In its place would spring forth a gleaming showroom for laissez-faire economics, a utopia such as the world had never seen. Every policy that liberates multinational corporations to pursue their quest for profit would be put into place: a shrunken state, a flexible workforce, open borders, minimal taxes, no tariffs, no ownership restrictions.
"The people of Iraq would, of course, have to endure some short-term pain...."
"The (reality) that... Iraq continues to tremble under explosions of a very different sort (in 2006) should never be blamed on the absence of a plan. Rather, the blame rests with the plan itself, and the extraordinarily violent ideology upon which it is based....
"Bremer's tenure was set with his first major act on the job: he fired 500,000 state workers, most of them soldiers, but also doctors, nurses, teachers, publishers, and printers.
"Next, he flung open the country's borders to absolutely unrestricted imports: no tariffs, no duties, NO INSPECTIONS, no taxes.
"Iraq, Bremer declared two weeks after he arrived, was "open for business."
"One month later, Bremer unveiled the centerpiece of his reforms. Before the invasion, Iraq's non-oil-related economy had been dominated by 200 state-owned companies, which produced everything from cement to paper to washing machines. In June, Bremer flew to an economic summit in Jordan and announced that these firms would be privatized immediately. ... It would be the largest state liquidation sale since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
"But Bremer's economic engineering had only just begun. ..." He instituted vast wealth-concentrating tax cuts.

Screwed up economics. Screwed up rightist, laissez faire, sociopathic ramblings.
Pure Neocon "Ayn Rand" sociopathy.
But Rumsfeld had zip-zero-nothing to do with it. Not a drop.
These blunders came out of the "Ayn Rand" wing of the Republican Party. The wing of Cheney and Bush and the Oil Biz and the Pharmas and Rush Limbaugh. All of it a mirror of their anti-government rants over the past four decades.
They did to Iraq in 2003 what they want to do to America. Nothing more, nothing less.
