Firstly, I want to thank everybody who has given up thier precious time to participate in the Lamont campaign, but to anyone who has worked for any democratic candidate across the country that is fighting hard for change.
After working the last two months for both the Lamont and Courntey campaigns, I can say from my recent experiences that I have never seen larger groups of motivated individuals at any-time pushing harder for change in our nation. I want to give my last comments before everybody goes out to vote tomorrow.
Compared to most states, Connecticut has one of the lowest registered voting populations in the country. This means that turnout will decide who wins this election tomorrow. The Lamont ground game/democratic offices are super-organized, in-sync, and ready to roll all day over Joe Lieberman tomorrow. (As a side note, the DCCC in Connecticut will calling every registered democratic voter in this state 3 times to make sure they vote. It's a new strategy and I think it will work)
The Joe Lieberman campaign (phony football cfl league)right now is hostile and very fearful of what may happen tomorrow. This is because they know the public opinion polls have no idea how to measure this race.
Also, the Lieberman campaign has robo calls saying voting for Alan Schlesinger is a vote for Ned Lamont. In additon, to saying that Joe Lieberman is the most legitimate candidate for a Republican to vote for on election day.
On the other hand, the Lamont campaign understands that people want change and that all the republicans will not be voting strategically to vote in a liberal called Joe Lieberman. (As a side note, many republicans have not voted for Joe before. Oh yea in the last two Senate elections Joe Lieberman has run in his (R) oppenent has gotten 35% and 31% points).
At this moment, both the Lamont and Lieberman internals have us down by about 3% points. Ironically, the Lamont internal polling had us down by 6 poins the day before the primary. However, Connecticut had the largest primary democratic turnout of any state this year which set a Ct. record. The result was a Lamont victory.
As of today, the Ct secretary of state Susan Bysiewicz has predicted record turnout for election day. I'm predicting that Democratic turnout tomorrow will be atleast 65% and it won't be shocking to myself if it surpasses 70%. (The highest dem turnout of any state in this country).
It's time to change this country by voting for Ned Lamont (Democratic) and showing the republican fanatics (defacto-reuplican Joe Lieberman)that thier time immorally running our comuntry is done tomorrow.
Good night, Good Luck and get out the vote tomorrow. It's going to be 60 degrees in Connecticut tomorrow so enjoy the warm weather as it lasts. If you want CHANGE you have to VOTE!!
