Something a little different.
I have always found that I feel much better voting when there are large crowds. This year as I stood waiting for them to find me in the book, I found it remarkable that it seemed as much as a third of some pages were filled with a stamped early voter mark. And yet the church where I vote had a great deal of traffic, and the poll workers remarked that it had been busy all day.
I voted relatively early. Late morning, before the lunch crowd and certainly before the end of the day crowd.
My question is: What was the crowd and the turn out like where you voted?
I would like to hear raw numbers about turnout, but i am more interested in personal stories. Voting in general is a powerful experience for me, but when there is a lot of participation, and energy just participating can be deeply moving. Even when the people I want to win don't, there is power to me in making the effort and making a stand, and I want to hear what others think.
No poll, but personal stories and observations would be very welcome.
So, what was it like where you voted? Giddy, friendly, busy, Quiet?
