COLUMBUS, OH. - The 15th Congressional District in Ohio is still undecided. Democratic challenger Mary Jo Kilroy is still trying to unseat Republican incumbent, Deborah Pryce. Pryce has a narrow margin of 2,800 votes, but over 20,000 provisional and absentee ballots have yet to be counted. Many uncounted ballots are from the OSU campus area, a usually predominately Democratic-leaning area of town.
Paint Ohio Blue, the Ohio Democratic Party's website, is holding a "Rally for Voter's Right" on the OSU campus at the Stecker Lounge - Ohio Union, 3rd Floor, to demand that ALL votes be counted.
Kilroy's campaign manager, Scott Kozar stated, "When all the ballots are counted, Mary Jo Kilroy is going to Congress."
Kilroy's website says, "About 21,000 provisional ballots and 20,000 absentee ballots cast in Franklin County and received Monday and Tuesday remain to be counted, with about half of those in the 15th District, according to Franklin County election officials."
A final goodbye and parting gift perhaps, from Secratary of State Ken Blackwell and his stringent, draconian voter ID requirement laws.
Let's all hope the in-coming Secratary of State, Jennifer Brunner, a Democrat, will clean up this foul-smelling mess of 21st century Jim Crow voter ID laws that Blackwell left behind on her new desk.
