The independent in CT won the election and has pledged to vote for Harry Reid for majority leader. We should respect the voters of CT for their decision just as we as Americans respect the voters of ND, CO and the other 50 states.
He wants his seniority so he can represent his constituents of CT to the maximum potential. That is a reasonable position. As with other moderate/conservative Democrats he is pointing out that he will vote with Republicans when he feels the Democrats are off base.
All Joe wants is to retain his seniority which since he won election is a reasonable position so he can represent the consitituents of CT effectively that elected him. All of the residents of CT.
Joe may be a traitor to the Democrats but he is as much of a patriot as any other Senator. We need to get away from calling Americans traitors because they disagree politically with our Point of View. That is an un-american position.
This country is great because 2 people can honestly disagree and neither one is a traitor.
51 or 52 Republicans blocked investigations on the war not Joe Lieberman.
The Caucusing with the Republicans on specific issues may happen with Joe but could also happen with Jon Tester, Jim Webb and other moderate Democrats.
Joe actually has a lifetime rating from the American Conservative Union of 17% and in 2005 was 8%. That means he votes 83% and 92% against the conservative positions.

Compare that with some other Democrats
Lincoln (AR) 21%
Pryor (AR) 25%
Salazar (CO) 32%
Bayh (IN) 21%
Landrieu (LA) 20%
Nelson (NE) 53%
Conrad (ND) 20%
Dorgan (ND) 18%
Johnson (SD) 20%
Byrd (WV) 30%
So that is 10 Democrats that have a more conservative voting record than Leiberman. We are not calling them unpatriotic. I supported Lamont, but he lost. We need to move on. If we disagree with a position/vote that Joe or any other Democrat makes, we need to make our voices known. But lets stop trashing people before they do anything wrong.
Lets have some perspective here.
