Well, the first act of the new 2006 Democratic Congress is to stay the course and elect the Bush, NeoCon-friendly Steny Hoyer as its House Majority leader.

In doing this, the Democratic Party just rejected the one single Democratic member of either chamber that stood up and defiantly spoke, not only squarely against against Bush's illegal Invasion of Iraq, but for immediate redeployment of troops and broke the logjam and false premise that you had to "support the troops" or "cut and run".
John Murtha had real backbone. He displayed the type of clear speaking, easy to understand, proud, principled, opposing message to the Bush agenda and Bush War policy.
I can tell you, that the GOP would have rewarded an impact-player type of guy like John Murtha.
The Democratic Party, on the other hand, at its hour of great triumph instead wants to banish and bury the men who displayed backbone John Murtha and Howard Dean and altered the political dynamics in the Nation that allowed the Democratic Party to succeed and then annouce that Bush is effectively pardoned for all violations of law and War Crimes in advance of any investigations.
In short, the Democratic Party House members don't have the killer instinct on anything here.
Even when they win, they immediately set the stage for them to just lose all over again.
Stay the course.
Stay irrelevant.
Stay losers!
