Sorry I haven't been around to keep everyone appraised of the goings-on in the recount of the Florida 13th race (I've been posting on behalf of the Christine Jennings for Congress team, which continues to fight on in the wake of the most glaring 'smoking gun' case of touchscreen irregularities so far). Unfortunately, I resigned from the campaign last week because of a prior commitment...
This past Sunday, I married my high school sweetheart. I'm now online for the first time since then, at a coffeeshop in Great Barrington, MA, near where we are honeymooning. I just wanted to let everyone know that the fight down in Florida is continuing without me (for now--I'll be back down there at the end of the month), and that my new wife and I are having the time of our lives (now 'life,' I should say, since two lives are now one!).
Thanks to everyone for the well-wishes over the past months as the campaign and wedding plans were continually overlapping and stressing me, and for the continued support for the Jennings campaign in Sarasota.
If you're so inclined to offer a "mazel tov!" or other celebratory/congratulatory gesture, please make it in the form of keeping a close eye on the recount in Florida--after all, keeping Vern Buchanan from being our Congressperson would be the best wedding present Lauren and I could ask for!

Thanks all!
