I find it particularly amusing that Bush continues to give descriptions of Saddam Hussein that could be easily applied to himself. Quotes from today's question-and-not-answer session at

Bush: The Baathists try to create chaos and fear because they realize that a free Iraq will deny them the excessive privileges they had under Saddam Hussein.
In the US, the Bush administration maintains the fear to hold on to the "excessive privileges" of the wealthy and powerful under that administration, because a calm public might start asking questions.
Bush: We're working hard with the members to make the case that it's very important for us not to saddle Iraq with a bunch of debt early in its -- in the emergence of a market-oriented economy, an economy that has been wrecked by Mr. Saddam Hussein. I mean, he just destroyed their economy and destroyed their infrastructure, destroyed their education system, destroyed their medical system, all to keep himself in power.
I guess it's OK to saddle US with a "bunch of debt" when our economy, infrastructure, education system and medical system have been destroyed.
Bush: This is a man -- Saddam Hussein is a man who hid programs and weapons for years. He's a master at hiding things. And so David Kay will continue his search.
Based on the high level of secrecy maintained by this administration, it would be nice to have a David Kay searching for the truth over here. Well, maybe somebody more successful than David Kay.
At least it all makes an easy target for comments.
