Epic, epic turnout all around ...
Not reported to the party yet, but 7 precincts on Capitol Hill are sending 33 delegates to the next conventions, and 18 of these are going to Howard Dean! Over 50%! Capitol Hill: we kept our promise to Howard Dean ...

Just got back from caucusing for 43-2550 - I personally scored big time in my precinct, singlehandledly winning over the 4 present Kucinich supporters to the Dean camp, and sending the 2 Kerry supporters in the room packing. In fact, overall, Kerry is ranking on Capitol Hill at slightly less support than Dennis Kucinich. Of the 25 voters in my precinct, 2 went for Kerry, 1 stuck to Edwards and sunk bravely with her ship, and 23 of us went for Howard Dean.
Note to Kerry campaign: your representative in our precinct was extremely unpleasant and repeatedly held up and tried to railroad control of the caucus away from our elected chair in the single-minded attempt to disqualify Dean voters through rules-based arguments. She had to be repeatedly overruled by the Democratic Party officials overseeing the entire process, and she cost us all precious time and made the experience at times very negative. She repeatedly held up the caucus while she cell phoned the Kerry campaign and tried to overrule the caucus chair with the Kerry campaign's version of caucus rules, which were not the official party rules. She was objectively attempting to lower the countable turnout, because her candidate did poorly, and that is bad. Several people spontaneously and separately communicated to me that they found her to be very unpleasant and antagnostic. Message to Dirty Kerry: quit playing dirty pool with us. We discover face-to-face that we don't like you very much when you do.
Whoever the ultimate candidate is needs to be aware: the urban heart of Seattle wanted Howard Dean. And if that candidate is John Kerry, then he needs to understand that he does'nt have any relationship to us.
I was'nt the only person in the room who said out loud he/she would never under circumstances vote for Kerry.
But enough about John. Today was for Howard! Go Dean Go!
