You've seen them all, one after another: Chertoff "Getcher One Quart Plastic Bags Out" Sec of 'Homeland' Security; Brown "Doin a heckuva job, Brownie"; Cheney (who can say more?); Rumsfeld (Can't figure out where to contact reality); Condi (Aren't these nice shoes?) Rice...
Just one after another after another after another of crooked, incompetent, do nothing, idealogical morons and Bush-worshipping blistering idiots. What can one more mean? Nothing, right?
Ever heard of Col. Michael D. Murphy?
after the bump...>
Well, what about the General Counsel for the White House Military office? You know, someone who connects between White House desires and military actions... sorta like, you know, for torture and little ol' things like that.
Someone like the Legal Advisor for Reconstruction in Iraq. (Sure got everything right there!)
LINK: http://www.washingtonpost.com/...
He was the general counsel for the White House Military Office from December 2001 to January 2003, and from August 2003 to January 2005. In between those tours, he was the legal adviser to the reconstruction effort in Iraq, an Air Force spokesman said.
Murphy later served in 2005 as commandant of the Air Force Judge Advocate General's School at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala.
Would it surprise you to learn, he too is an incompetent hack? Yup. Disbarred 22 years ago for MISCONDUCT. TWENTY TWO FREAKING YEARS AGO. And practicing law for Bush.
He was relieved of his command at Bolling on Nov. 30 after the Air Force learned that he had been disbarred for professional misconduct in Texas in 1984 but hadn't informed his superiors, according to Air Force Times, an independent newspaper that first reported the action. It said that his status was discovered in the course of an unrelated review.
Way back in 1984. Twenty-two years ago, the guy was no longer an attorney IN TEXAS (and that's setting the bar pretty low). Yet, he somehow becomes General Councel of the White House Military Office? Commandant of the Air Force Judge Advocate General School? What a fraud! Who is screening these bums? Harriet Miers? I mean, isn't it a matter of public record? What about the Secret Service? Aren't they supposed to know the entire background of anyone serving in the White House? And yet, a disbarred attorney is head of the White House Military Office? WTF!?
IMPEACH! Clear the bums out. How many MORE of these cretins and feebs are to be uncovered? With the EPA destroying libraries, disbarred attorneys advising the president, neo-cons running the military.... how much REAL damage do we have to accept?
How much worse can it get? It is time to impeach Bush AND Cheney. Destroy their political power. If Congress can hold 127 hours of hearings about Clinton's Christmas Card List, then surely we can have some hearings on "High Crimes & Misdemeanors" now that the Democrats have regained control.
UPDATE: A little digging can reveal a lot more information:
Permanently Disbarred in TWO States:
Murphy, a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, first ran into trouble in 1981, when he failed to file an appeal on time for a client convicted of burglary, according to court documents.
In August 1982, Texas filed a lawsuit accusing Murphy of professional misconduct, but in a January 1983 application to be admitted to the Louisiana bar, Murphy stated under oath that he had never been sued or been the subject of a disciplinary action.
Murphy's Texas law license was suspended for seven years in August 1983 because of the original lawsuit.
Both Texas and Louisiana permanently disbarred Murphy for lying on his Louisiana bar application; Texas did so in May 1984 and Louisiana in September 1985.
May lead to convictions being appealed:
As a staff judge advocate earlier in his career, Murphy advised commanders on whether Air Force members should be charged with crimes and what their punishment should be if convicted. Several lawyers in the Air Force community have questioned whether there will now be a rash of appeals in cases in which Murphy was involved.
