The Human Rights Campaign has released it’s "Buying for Equality 2007" ratings.
It’s a guide we GLBTs can use when job hunting. (And this is not trifling issue. In 33 states, you can still be fired for being gay; in 43 states, for being transgendered.)
Also, it’s a guide we can ALL consult to decide where to take our business. (No big surprise--among low scorers are also environment and labor abusers, although that criteria was not used here.)
And it’s not like you have to deprive yourself to "shop pink." On a scale of 0-100, most companies scored Green (score 80-100), fewer Yellow (46-79), and relatively few scored Red (0-45). So, if you give up Dominos (score 45), you can still have your DiGiorno (Kraft foods, score 100).
In fact, out of 446 companies HRC rated, 138 scored 100, and only 2 scored 0.
