All the signs are there... Let us consider the 20 questions Gamblers Anonymoususes to tell if someone needs serious help for a gambling addiction. For fun, (and I realize that speaking of Iraq is NOT fun), let's replace "gambling" with Iraq, and answer these questions...
Did you ever lose time from work or school due to Iraq ?
Well we know he's lost time from doing the work of the American people due to Iraq. Imagine what George Bush could have accomplished had he not been distracted by Iraq?
Has Iraq ever made your home life unhappy?
The twins are gettin wild and crazy in Argentina, and Barney his dog keeps bringing him bags of pretzels.
Did Iraq affect your reputation?
Considering the recent CNN/Gallup Approval Rating: 36% Approve 62% Disapprove; I'd say his reputation has been affected.

Have you ever felt remorse after Iraq?
He can safely answer "no" to this one. Sadly.
Did you ever get into Iraq to get money with which to pay debts or otherwise solve financial difficulties?
George Bush said just before the 2006 election that we don't want oil in the hands of "terrorists" controlling prices for us, proving (though little noticed) that yes this was WAS all about oil.
After losing did you feel you must return as soon as possible and win back your losses?
With all this talk of Bush "doubling down" in Iraq makes me feel as if he's trying to win back our losses by gambling more. This is not a good strategy. If we lose then...we are REALLY screwed.
After a win did you have a strong urge to return and win more?
Well we wouldn't know... GWB hasn't won much. Bet let's use tax cuts as an example. That was a huge win. What did he do? Go right back for more!
Did you often stay in Iraq until your last dollar was gone?
GWB is spending money we haven't even printed yet, does that count?
Did you ever borrow to finance Iraq?
Um? Yeah??? how much do we owe the Chinese now?
Have you ever sold anything to Iraq?
I would go out on a limb and say his soul?
Were you reluctant to use Iraq money for normal expenditures?
Hmmm, Katrina, Healthcare, Education, Bridges, Roads, Power Grid... I would say, yes.
Did you stay in Iraq longer than you had planned?
This one is so funny in itself. i don't have to write anything!
Did Iraq cause a decrease in your ambition or efficiency?
He's been called the "worst President ever". His administration is anything but efficient. His ambition to do anything is quickly fading.
After a win did you have a strong urge to return and win more?
Well we wouldn't know... GWB hasn't won much. Bet let's use tax cuts as an example. That was a huge win. What did he do? Go right back for more!
Have you ever committed, or considered committing, an illegal act to finance Iraq?
NSA wiretapping? Hyped up WMDs? Valerie Plame... Abu Ghraib? I would say... yes.
Did Iraq cause you to have difficulty in sleeping?
We all know "Bushie" goes to bed early... he's so insensitive... he can still sleep.
Did you ever have an urge to celebrate any good fortune by a few hours of Iraq? Doesn't it seem like everytime something good happens in this country, the Adminstration goes and tries to do something in Iraq that turns out to be disastrous?
Have you ever considered self destruction or suicide as a result of Iraq?
I wouldn't go so far as to say "suicide" but his Presidency is certainly self-destructing.
It's this easy folks... all he has to do is the 12 Steps and we're on our way to recovery. (I should note that George W. Bush has NEVER done the 12 Steps for his drinking). Somebody as spiritual as he claims and he doesn't 12 Step it?... Frankly... worries me.
