The Hamdan case concerns the legal rights of Guantanamo Bay detainees to challenge their detention. The Bush Administration say that they must rely on military tribunals, that they have no rights, and that the Courts have no jurisdiction.
SCOTUS Blog reports that the U.S. Supreme Court will deliver its opinion in the Hamdan case tomorrow at 10 a.m. EDT. It is very likely that this opinion will be written by Justice Stevens, one of the most liberal justices on the Court. Thus, there is a good chance that there may finally be some good news on the enemy combatant issue tomorrow.
