Drudge has been running the Kerry botox story and it's par for the course. It's cynical politics talking about a $150.00 haircut or possible botox treatments when the real issue is voting out of office the most incompetenent and dishonest President in our history.
But now Dean is doing it:

ROSEVILLE, Mich. (Reuters) - Is John Kerry (news - web sites) really starting to get under Howard Dean (news - web sites)'s skin?
The Democratic presidential candidates have been squaring off over taxes, the Iraq (news - web sites) war and special interest money, but on Sunday Dean appeared to resurrect speculation that the front-runner has been getting Botox injections to smooth out wrinkles.
As he telephoned supporters around the country, Dean, a physician and the former governor of Vermont, glanced up and caught a glimpse of country singer Willie Nelson on television.
"It looks like he had Botox injections, too," Dean remarked with a broad smile.
After the laughter subsided, he quickly added: "I didn't say who the other person was. I didn't say who the other person was."
When the question 'do you deny you've used Botox or other cosmetic enhancements' was put to Kerry on a Boston radio station last week, the Massachusetts senator replied: "Absolutely, I've never even heard of it."
Botox works by paralyzing the muscles that produce worry lines around the eyes and on the forehead.
I used to support Dean though I now support Clarke and have for a couple of months. For a long time I was very attracted to Dean because he was a straight shooter. But this is not the tactic of a straight shooter. This is a Repub-style smear like the $150.00 haircut flap levelled by Repubs at Kerry last year. Or impeach for a blowjob but not for lyiing to the country about Iraq politics.
This sort of thing is annoying when done to a democrat by repubs, but it's downright idiotic when one dem does it to another. Naturally Dean's remark was promptly picked up and linked by Drudge.
One other point visa vis Dean's remark - even if it's true, who cares? Does botox indicate a lack of character? Lincoln grew a beard to hide his receding chin.
