It was so exciting to see a blogger, one of us featured in a very long article in the WAPO. If anyone has a right to be angry with the Bush administration for repeating the mistakes of the Nixon administration, it's MSOC. How many of us lost our fathers to "an unfortunate incident" such as the war in Vietnam? She held her own on FOX too!
MSOC is in a position to speak not only for herself, but also for many pretty average people who deal with life issues that include addictions like smoking as a means to cope. What if we all had access to decent healthcare? Maybe some of the issues that drive people to smoke, drink or gamble in excess would be erased. What about a fair tax system that doesn't stick it to the middle class and poor? How about a focus on people being able to have decent jobs that pay a living wage in this country with the benefits our parents had? Then there's the energy thing and this insane need BushCo has to go to war against countries that have the natural resources the oil companies want, doesn't that make everybody nuts? I say nuts in the driven to distraction meaning of the word, not to mean crazy. BushCo is crazy, we are not. Anger has to be directed and blogging is a very effective and creative outlet. MSOC has found her voice in blogging and developed friends and a following. Blog on MSOC and do us all proud. I'm no more worried that someone would mistake me for you than someone mistaking me for Molly Ivins. I should be so lucky:)
