From today's AP article on Florida National Guardsman Camilo Mejia, who refused to return to Iraq:
Guard spokesman Jon Myatt said Mejia has been classified as a deserter because he had been missing from his unit for more than 30 days.
Based on this, I have some questions for Scott McClellan.
If George W. Bush was AWOL from his unit for over 30 days, should he have been labeled a "deserter"?
If someone believes the evidence that Bush was not fulfilling his TX ANG duties for prolonged periods of time--over 30 days--why is it inappropriate to call George W. Bush a "deserter"?
