Bush is still holding onto his preemptive war doctrine? Damn, worked great the first time. Garnered my trust. But I figured the ringing success of the 'first' attempt at preemption would show the American people it's not the best policy.
Let's consider the upcoming November election preemptive impeachment. For what's it worth, I thought the Bush Doctrine was dead too:

I like reading Froomkin, especially his take on the Pew poll. My favorite part:
More on the flip...
"Until now, the most frequently offered word to describe the president was 'honest,' but this comes up far less often today than in the past. Other positive traits such as 'integrity' are also cited less, and virtually no respondent used superlatives such as 'excellent' or 'great' terms that came up fairly often in previous surveys. . . .
"The single word most frequently associated with George W. Bush today is 'incompetent,' and close behind are two other increasingly mentioned descriptors: 'idiot' and 'liar.' All three are mentioned far more often today than a year ago."
In fact, the terms "ass", "jerk", "selfish" and "untrustworthy" are all new additions to Pew's list of top responses, though for some reason "sucks" has actually fallen off the list."
Important to laugh and keep the sense of humor. If they called you, what word would you add?
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in a final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed--those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending its money alone--it is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."
