Help is on the way for the beleaguered citizens of the Show-Me State. Four-term Attorney General Jay Nixon filed his intent to run for governor of Missouri in 2008, firing an early show across the bow of the unpopular current occupant of the office, Matt Blunt. Quoting Henry G. Waters, publisher of the
Columbia Daily Tribune:
Nixon will be an aggressive and eager opponent and obviously will have a unified party behind him. He will run the best campaign of his career.
