Recently, there has been a great deal of discussion regarding the disgusting and unacceptable antics of Michelle Malkin. She is a disgusting liar, bigot, and propagandist who has made apparent an agenda simply to tear to pieces liberals and progressives and those who associate more with the left. She's the political equivalent of a Rottwelier trained by the likes of David Duke, Strom Thurmond, etc.
Anyways, I have always held a sort of disrespect for Malkin and her racism, but I can no longer take it.
I am a Japanese American, something I mentioned in a post yesterday in the first of the two Michelle Malkin thread. I was born in Tokyo and moved to the United States at age two. I consider myself an American first and foremost but do not hesitiate to acknowledge my Japanese origins. I love to learn about Japanese culture and history, a history which I consider one of the richest in the world, and next year I'll start to learn the language.
When Michelle Malkin came out with her book "In Defense of Internment," I was first shocked, then infuriated, then disappointed. How could any American who values liberty support such a racist and suppressive act? If I was alive in the early1940s, she would want me holed up in an interment camp for doing nothing. Saying that one should be locked up simply based on their racial background is nothing short of racism and shows contempt for people of that race.
According to her batshit policies, Muslims should also be put away because they are just as likely as the WW II Japanese Americans to be terrorists. Of course, such an act would immediately recieve universal criticism. Even when the Filipino government-supported spies were captured inside of the government, Filipinos technically should have been put in internment camps because they could also be government spies. You know what that means. Bye, bye Michelle, see you at Lake Tula, Utah (a camp that held 18,789 detainees).
But wait, Michelle, you said that the left was acting ignorant and stupid and were being racists. Soooooo Filipinos stay, Muslims stay, something you mentioned in your odious book, but the Japanese have got to go, huh. Yeah, I see racist in big red capital letters on Michelle Malkin's forehead. You were the one who said that liberals called you a gook on an appearance on Fox News, but the message I get from you and your book is "Fuck you, dirty Jap."
And just one more thing, something that I brought up in my post yesterday, too. Are you more likely to receive a racially insensitive remark in a conservative bastion like Biloxi, Mississippi or in a liberal city like Hilo, Hawai'i, a city with a humongous Japanese population. My appologies for saying this, Mississippi, but Biloxi wins, hands down.
So I think it's clear what your agenda is, Mrs. Malkin. Disown the liberals and maybe take a few potshots at the Japanese in your book. In fact, yesterday, when you posted the hate emails you received, and claimed they were more of the "unhinged" and hateful comments liberals so frequently make, you couldn't come up with a shred of evidence to say that they are liberals. Shame on them for their rudeness and innappropriate remarks, especially the one that called you a slanty-eyed cunt, but you cannot prove these are from liberals.
Anyways, here's an email I sent her yesterday. I did my best to be polite, as anybody should be when sparring with the enemy. Yesterday, when I wrote my to the Malkin thread, I used some strong language every once in a while in my fury, but I still feel it necessary to be polite. Well, here it is:
Dear Mrs. Malkin,
I must say, I am quite disappointed at your use gross overuse of propaganda. I consider myself a strong progressive and liberal, and I condone these people of hate as much as you do. They are an indecent group of human beings and contrary to what they might say in their emails, they are the true waste of oxygen. However, they in no way prove or state that they are liberals, progressives, or left-wingers. All they prove is that they are rude and indecent.
However, I do find the fact that you choose to manipulate these disgusting emails to further and to promote your campaign against liberals repulsive, seeing as you have no supporting evidence to back up your claim that liberals are "unhinged" and racist and hate-mongerers. You have consistently, and rather frusturatingly, continually have labeled liberals as people of hate. On FOX News, I believe I saw you claim that you have been called a gook by left-wingers. If they have called you such a racially insensitive remark, then shame on them. But in no way has the mainstream left been racist in any shape, form, or way. On the contrary, I think that you may find many more instances of the promotion of intolerance from conservatives, in forms ranging from homophobia to racism. To name a few, Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, Trent Lott, David Duke, Fred Phelps, Pat Robertson so on so forth. They are all conservatives. Some are less mainstream than the typical conservative. Others, such as Sen. Lott, the former Republican Senate leader, can easily be associated with the mainstream Republican party.
The conservative wing of the Republican Party is the one pushing forward the first constitutional amendment in history that would explicitly prohibit certain types of Americans from sharing the same rights as others. Progressive Democrat Sen. Russ Feingold, on the contrary, supports completely equal rights between gays and straights, correctly from a completely secular view seeing as the roots for the Federal Marriage Amendment stem from religious belief. People such as Sen. Feingold, who also happens to be Jewish, do not strike one as racists and hate-mongerers, right?
I also think it's worth pointing out that there is not a single black Republican in Congress and many more Hispanic Democrats than Republicans. There are also five Asian-American Democrats, Sen. Inouye and Sen. Akaka, both of Hawai'i, Rep. Matsui and Rep. Honda, both of California, and Rep. Wu of Oregon, as opposed to no Asian Republicans. In fact, all of the mainstream minority groups, blacks, Hispanics (except for Cubans), and Asians (except for Filipinos) all supported Sen. Kerry the last election cycle. It's hard to fathom that a party based on liberal and more left-wing principles is supported, in some cases by eye-popping margins, by every single mainstream minority group. I myself, a Japanese American born in Tokyo, fit into this group.
Back to the main topic, you, in my humble opinion, have seemed to radiate more fanatically intolerant tendencies than others such as Howard Dean, Harry Reid, or Nancy Pelosi. You wrote a book defending the wartime internment of Japanese Americans. I fit into this group of people who would be interned. I have been living in this country since the age of two and now hold a U.S. citizenship. As a lifelong resident of this nation, I feel more American than Japanese although I still strongly acknowledge my Japanese roots and hold a keen interest in learning Japanese and familiarizing myself with Japanese history and culture. However, in the end, I am an American first and foremost. To think that you would want me placed in an internment camp simply based on my racial background shocks me, and, admittingly, infuriates me. Even you yourself have to acknowledge that the vast majority of Japanese who were incarcerated were completely innocent. When you wrote your book "In Defense of Internment", you argued the case for racism. You said round up all of the Japanese Americans. Don't ask any questions and don't let them ask any questions, they share the same racial background as the enemy, round them up and put them in internment camps, even if there is no proof of any wrongdoing.
The Muslims of this country share the same heritage and background as Osama bin Laden. It is primarily Muslims who are the terrorists. According to your philosophy, in order to avoid terrorism, every single Muslim in this country has to be rounded up. Of course that's impossible. There is a much more practical solution and that is to futher increase support for internal homeland security like at airports and shipping ports. If there is a strong and rational reason as to who or what is supporting terrorists, monitor them, do not round up those of the same race and throw them in an isolated camp. In one instance you also proved yourself somewhat hypocritical. This was following the capture of Filipino spies, connected to the Filipino government, who were detected and apprehended. When confronted as to whether or not Filipinos should be rounded up, of course a completely ridiculous notion, you chose the logical response, but of course not without finding some way to smear liberals. Your belief that Japanese should be incarcerated, but not Filipinos, strikes me as a form of a racist tendency. Of course that is simply my unproven and humble personal opinion.
Overall, my point is that your accusations that those who wrote those heinous emails you have posted are by liberals, even without evidence liberals are in fact behind them, strikes me as serving one true purpose: that you want to smear and disown liberals. You, in all of your finger pointing, appear to be the one who has the agenda of discrediting, viciously attacking, and framing by use of propaganda people who you do not seem to accept or respect. I hope I have come across as polite and understandable. If you have gotten this far, thank you for reading my email. I more than encourage you to post this on your front page if your agenda really is not to smear liberals and is to show that your position is really the right one. This seems a fair argument. You are of course, also welcome to rebut the arguments of this email on your front page. If you do choose to post this on your front page, which I would very much welcome, I would appreciate it if you did not post my email adress or name. Please excuse the length.
Yours respectfully,
---------------
Japanese American and liberal
P.S. I must also ask why it is necessary to post the personal information of the students, even if you do claim it to be public information. This very much complicates their lives and seems a tad bit inconsiderate. You could just as easily prove your point without giving out personal information, which will undoutedly open the door to nasty and threatening emails, the type that you have posted on the homepage of your website.
I more than encourage you to write emails expressing your discontent. Like I've said twice before, make them polite and do not use any overly harsh langauge. Of course, make them nothing LIKE the emails she posted on her website because such emails do not represent many of the values we hold as liberals. Thank you for reading and please continue to put the pressure on Michelle Malkin.
